What is Pradaxa,
and How Does it Work?

Pradaxa contains a medicine called dabigatran etexilate. It is an anticoagulant or anti-clotting medicine, which helps prevent blood clots from forming in the heart in the people with Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation.
•  
Pradaxa has been shown to reduce the risk of stroke in people with Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation.
•  
Even if you have no symptoms of Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation, you will still need to take Pradaxa everyday to reduce your risk of stroke.
